Raynville Primary School

Reception.

Our Autumn Walk.

Both the reception classes went for a walk around the local area looking

at changes that were happening because it was Autumn.  We saw a  lot

of leaves on the floor and those on the trees were changing colour.

Some parents came to help and we all had a lovely time.  The children

all wore pedometers to see how many steps we had taken.

Some of the things we have been doing in our classes.

Making music.

Making a visitor feel welcome.

A visit from a Librarian.

We did some exercises to make sure we were ready to listen and then sat comfortably.

We all listened very carefully to the story 'Room on a broom.'

We are hoping to visit the library during the summer for some more story telling.

Avisit from 'Freddy Fit'.

We did some exercises and movement to really funky music and felt our bodies changing as we exercised more.  We talked about different ways of keeping healthy and how to look after our bodies.

Rev Gordon came in to talk about his job. He explained what some of the things we see in a church are used for and answered all our questions.

More story telling.

This time an interactive session with a theatre group called 'Tutti Frutti'

The story was 'Hue boy', and the man was all the different characters with a little bit of help from us!

Kings and Queens day.

We all dressed up as Kings and Queens and had a lovely day.  We had an inside garden party and ate cucumber sandwiches and victoria sponge cake.

     "Say Queen!"

.

"Yum, yum, yum !"

Oh yes and staff as well.

"Now who's Queen?"

Return to children's work.
