World Cup fever has hit Raynville! Year 3 held their own opening ceremony complete with representatives form each of the 32 countries taking part in the World Cup. The children practised their football skills, payed matches and sung their hearts out to 'Three Lions!'
The children took part in Spanish Wow day where they dressed up and experienced a carousel of activities. Mrs Toher and Mr Keating taught the children traditional Spanish dances and football skills as these are popular pass times in Spain. Mrs Derbyshire cooked tapas dishes whilst Miss Stewart made clay animal sculptures based on Salvador Dali's work. Mrs Burn taught the children about Christmas in Spain and how the Spaniards celebrate the festive season.
